How to prevent bearing heating during use

Bearings are mainly used to support the rotor for rotational motion. Under high-speed rotation, bearings generate a large amount of frictional heat, which requires bearings to have a relatively high degree of smoothness during manufacturing to avoid accidents such as overheating and accidental damage caused by friction. In practical production, bearings are suitable for various rotational support movements. Bearings in crushers are used to connect motors and rotors, rotors and hammer blades, especially for materials with high hardness in crushers, which require increasing the speed and generating significant impact force.

There are several reasons for bearing overheating and high temperature

1. The surface roughness of the bearing is damaged. The bearing surface is smooth, and the roughness can generally reach 1.6. Depending on the requirements, the roughness may also vary. If the roughness is accidentally broken, the height of the two bearing seats may be uneven, or the motor rotor and the crusher rotor may not be concentric, which will cause the shaft to bear additional load impact and cause bearing overheating. In such a situation, it is necessary to immediately shut down the machine to troubleshoot and prevent early damage to the bearings. For example, being scratched by metal or colliding with other components can increase friction and generate heat when the bearing rotates.

2. Excessive, insufficient, or aging lubricating oil in bearings is also a major cause of bearing overheating and damage. Therefore, it is necessary to add lubricating oil in a timely and quantitative manner according to the requirements of the user manual. Generally, lubrication accounts for 70% -80% of the bearing space. Excessive or insufficient lubricating oil is not conducive to bearing lubrication and heat transfer. The lubrication and maintenance measures are not in place, and the bearings must be lubricated after long-term operation. Generally, lubrication is carried out every time the machine is turned on to extend the service life of the bearings.

3. Excessive feeding is mainly due to the improper adjustment of the feeding speed of the feeding device, resulting in an excessive amount of feeding at once. The processing capacity of the crusher is too small, and it cannot be crushed in a timely manner, leading to blockage in the crushing chamber and increased rotor resistance, resulting in bearing overheating.

4. Long term overloaded work. Usually, it is to catch up with the schedule. Under high-intensity production, if the crusher is not maintained in a timely manner, it will continue to heat up and even break severely.

5. If the fit between the bearing cover and the shaft is too tight or too loose, it will cause the bearing to overheat. Once such a problem occurs, there will be friction sounds and noticeable oscillations during the operation of the equipment. The machine should be stopped to remove the bearings, repair the friction parts, and then reassemble as required.

terms of settlement:

Once the roughness of a general bearing is damaged, it should be replaced immediately and there is no possibility of reuse. Secondly, do a good job in periodic maintenance and lubrication of bearings, and try to avoid long-term high-intensity production as much as possible. Finally, arrange the production process, control the feeding speed according to the output of the crusher, and reduce the feeding amount.
